About This Class
This class meets the requirements necessary for students to obtain their Florida Concealed Carry License. It consists primarily of classroom lecture that covers license protocols, general do’s and don’ts, legal issues, use of force laws, basic firearm safety and a review of basic marksmanship. The class concludes with a live-fire exercise where students demonstrate safe shooting skills. Students are provided all necessary license application forms and certificates upon successful completion. Each class is taught by experienced instructors with multiple certifications (NRA, CJSTC, etc.). Florida charges separate processing fees to obtain license.

- Study of State Reciprocity (traveling with your firearm) and we give you an excellent easy to understand website to help you. You are responsible for THEIR laws, not ours, when in their state
- Study mindset of the bad guy
- Scenarios and “what ifs”
- FIREARMS SAFETY!
- Look at gun size, configuration, magazine and trigger controls to help you decide which firearm is best for you
- Work with training and unloaded firearms, proper grip, sight picture, loading, unloading and making safe (using snap caps and training ammo)
- Range time in which you will practice loading, unloading and shooting a revolver or a semiautomatic
What Should I Bring?
Participants must be/have:
• A U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien
• 21 years of age or older
• Able to speak, read and write in English (no interpreters)
• NO felony convictions
• NO misdemeanor convictions for crimes of domestic violence
• NO record of drug or alcohol abuse
• NOT under a restraining order for violence
• NOT been adjudicated incompetent
• The ability to demonstrate competency with a handgun (safe handling, loading, unloading and firing)
Other Requirements:
- Please wear closed toe shoes and high cut shirt (range safety)
- Government Issued Photo Identification (Drivers License, State ID card or Passport)
- Gun rentals are available for a $10 fee.
